History and Location

The owners have been coming to the island since 1997 and bought the land on which Korfadia is located in 1999. The property now comprises two hectares (five acres) and includes a private all weather Tennis Court.

The House, the 10 x 6 metre Swimming Pool and associated large terraces and lie-out areas were built at the outset. The Bothy was added in 2010 and an adjoining piece of land to the North of the House of over a hectare (2.47 acres) was also added in the same year. An additional hectare below the house was addedd in 2021. Korfadia is approximately 305 metres (1,000 feet) above sea level with spectacular views over the sea to the neighbouring island of Cephalonia and to the mainland. The private Tennis Court was completed at the beginning of 2022.

The property stands entirely alone with the nearest other house some 500 metres away. As a result the location is peaceful and private yet within easy distance of the coast which is which is less than 10 minutes by car (1.6km as the crow flies). For keen walkers it is walkable, but perhaps not in the midday sun!

Korfadia was built as a home for the owners’ family and continues to be used extensively by them as well as rented for a limited number of weeks. The Property can accommodate 10 adults comfortably and up to 12 if young children are prepared to use overflow occasional beds in the House and/or Bothy. All the bedrooms have a Fan and Air Conditioning.
